ELECTRICAL SURFACE HEATING PROJECT SPECIALISTS FOR A WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS AND INDUSTRIES
GLUCOSE
We have undertaken the electrical surface heating of a number of tanks for a food ingredients
manufacturer in terms of the maintenance of glucose at a temperature where due to the sensitive
nature of the temperature of the product, we chose to install self regulating heater tape.
This was spiraled around the bottom 1/3rd of the tanks at fairly close centres in order to
ensure that there were no heat spots. This, together with the introduction of a controlling
thermostat and high and low temperature thermostats, ensured that the produce would not drop in
temperature, over heat, or suffer from local over heating areas.
